Her şeyi kaybedecek.
Adamın şakaklarındaki beyazlar on dakika içinde tepesine mi ulaşmış yoksa ışık onu mu yanılttı, koridor boyunca yürürken bunu düşünüyor.

Dizlerini kendine çekerken vücudunun her zerresinin titrediğini hissediyor.
Kuruduğu, sağa sola akmadığı tek bir an yok.
Yüzündeki her noktayı, her gözeneği, her detayı dikkatle izliyor. Yanaklarını, dudaklarını, burnunu sağa sola çekiştiriyor ve gülüyor. Sonra da hepsini siyahlara bürüyor. Siyah sıvı çenesinden boynuna kayıyor, kaynağına yeniden varıyor.
Ellerini kaldırıp aynaya yöneltiyor. Yok oluşunun mürekkebiyle deliliğinin şarkısını yazıyor.

An ordinary hospital corridor, scented with disinfectant and hopelessness. Those rushing. Those waiting. Dying. Returning from the path to death. Forcing others out of their paths. She is a small, insignificant part of this turmoil. Sitting in the waiting room, staring at her feet. A pair of high heels with sharp, shiny tips. Matching with her handbag. Her nerve endings burn up at each step and still she wears them. To have a common ground with the others.
The woman sitting next to her stinks like cadavers. “My boy” he says, “angels gifted him his wings. One night he flew out of the balcony.” In her eyes is the light that only those who tasted hell on earth posess.
Her stare reminds her of someone she knew years ago.
A nurse calls out her name. She hated this utterance all oher life. Sounds of hgh heels echo in the corridor, she hardly pushes in an old door after knocking.
The doctor is in his mid-forties. His hair whitened from the temples, his nose diving down sharply between his lips is almost comically large. For a moment, forgetting where she is, she imagines the man is smelling for something in the air like hunting hounds. The image nearly causes her to chuckle. The man’s sudden glare reveals that he is hardly in the same mood as her. With a disconcerted attitude he says “sit down”.
“What was your complaint?”
The question causes the woman to tense up again. She sits down on the chair with cautious steps. She fails to turn her eyes from her interlaced hands where they are locked back up to the doctor. This is because she is ashamed of what she is about say-and what he is about to see- “I” she starts saying” thought something shouldn’t be a part of my body… something formed, hmm, without cause”
Doctor turns to look at her for the first time. “Where?”
“In the middle of my chest”
“Pass over to that stretcher in the back and take off your top.”
She moves towards the stretcher, near shaking, with steps even more timid then those previously taken. She slowly unbuttons her shirt, like she wants to delay things. What she refrains from is not nudity. She can more or less guess what reaction the doctor will have when he sees it. All the clothes, jewelery and make up that she decorated herself with like camouflage seem so petty to her now. The doctor will set off the process of people finding out, then everyone will find out what she was actually hiding. She will loose everything. She can’t stop her hands from shaking any longer. She grasps the sides of the stretcher until the knots start to turn whiter.
Suddenly the doctor appears infront of her with sky blue plastic gloves stretched through his hands. “Let me have a look” he says as his gaze slides below the woman’s neck and stops right there. He doesn’t approach the women another step closer.
Timidly he brings his head back up and stares through narrowed eyes. As if trying to tell the thing he just saw is real or not. Every passing second fear and even more, disgust appears in his eyes. His hands rise up in the air but remain hung if for a moment. Later, as if to remember the vow he made years ago he brings his hands closer, moving them near the opening.
“When did you notice it forming?”
“From the first day. One day I hadn’t even come home yet and I noticed a wet spot infront of my dress. At first I assumed I spilled something but then I felt my breast was surprisingly warm and understood something had gone wrong. Since that day there has been spillage. Some days I have to change the plasters 7 times.” She casually looks over at the few wet plasters she placed beside the stretcher.
In the minutes that follow it’s as if she hears everything the doctor is saying from underwater. She catches a few words: “I’ve never seen such a thing, I don’t think there is a clear treatment, keep tightly attaching the plasters…”
As he says his last words he passes clean plasters to the woman, without even looking at her face.
“Oh and one more thing. Make sure nobody sees that thing.”
As she leaves the room, the doctor takes a sneaky peak. As she walks down the corridor she wonders if the white hairs on his temple turned in ten minutes or whether the light decieving her.

The air as if to fool with her, won’t suit the season. The winter sun stubbornly sattering light from behind the clouds.
Ever since this thing appeared even his walk has changed. She used to walk as if to challange the world, as if she carried the whole words between her shoulders, with ease. Now she moves with a hunchback, her hair falling on her face, her jacket collars up high, her eyes always following the sidewalk. As if to wish she was invisible, wherever she goes.
She is waiting for the next subway at the most secluded and damp corner of the station. She is trembling. Does this thing have a scent? Can people who come near smell it but she can’t because her nose got used to it? She carefully stays away from everyone.
She is exhausted from the endless anxiety which gnaws at her and the fear it inflicts on him rather than herself. She feels like a soldier on an endless duty. No sleeping or a moment of relaxation, no peace of mind. Only the endless anxiety. The anxiety of being noticed by someone. All alone with her curse, far away from people.
“ What’s this stain?”
She swiftly turns her head to see who’s speaking. She immediately walks backwards and starts running. Her heart beats almost in her mouth, she touches her chest unwillingly. The echo of her heels in the hollow station come back to her ears. Just as she reaches the door, she turns back to control her back and realizes there is no one there. Everyone in the station is looking at somewhere else.
Someone splashes red paint on the mayor’s billboard.

She doesn’t remember how she got home. The streets she passed are a blurred string of memories.
She locks all the doors as soon as she steps inside. She checks the alarm. She pulls all the curtains as if she is a vampire suddenly exposed to sunlight. Now its pitch black inside the house. Unwillingly, she opens the dim light in the study room. Then she feels ready to take her clothes off. She throws her jacket and scarf on the sofa and sits on the chair. Her whole body is trembling as she pulls her knees to her chest. She checks the front of her blouse with her hand. There is no stain, yet. She doesn’t feel ready to take the blouse off.
She surfs the internet, minding many precautions. She searches for something similiar to what she has, a solution, an explanation. There is nothing. Either she is the only person with this thing of she has gone mad. “If I was mad, I wouldn’t question if I was mad or not,” she reminds herself an calms down.
She begins thinking as she shuts the computer down. Why does this exist? Or does it need a reason to exist? Maybe it wasn’t about her at all, maybe it just wanted to exist. Another possibility was that it was always there and she was so good at lying to herself till this day that she forgot it even existed. She could never know the real reason behind it’s existence.
The reflection of herself on the black screen catches her eye. There is a circular stain in the middle of her red blouse. She runs to the bathroom, cursing and grumbling. For some time now, huge part of her salary goes to new clothes. The stain never wears off.
She holds the black towel on her skin. Whatever she does, she can’t stop it from leaking. Never. There isn’t an instant where it dries or stops leaking.
She takes a deep breath and looks at her reflection in the mirror with all the courage she has.She watches the blood run through the middle of her chest through the curves of her back into her belly button and to her groin. She silently watches how the warm liquid slides down her legs to the cracks of the white pavement, destroys her floor, her sleeps, thoughts, brain an life.
She faces her eyes. She sees the fear, disgust, strangeness, and exclusion that she contains. She prepared herself for the moments that people will look at her like this. But she never thought of the possibility that the cruelest glance would come from her own eyes. She realizes that she is looking at herself as if she is the most disgusting thing in the world, that this look has been stuck on her face for weeks like lightning struck in her mind. And she reaches her hand forward.
Not to the openness in her chest.
To the mirror.
She runs her fingers on top of the smooth surface, the reflection of the openness that has become invisible from the flowin liquid. It’s hard to call it a wound because it doesn’t hurt. It just gives and endless boredom and anxiety. She watchhes in awe, how it moves in her own body without her will and pump like a vein.
She changes the direction of her fingers and turns around facing the openness. Suddenly, she stick her two fingers in the openness without any mercy.
A strong laughter fills the bathroom.
The laughter grows. She will loose all her vocal cords when she stops.
She looks at her blackened fingers and palm. She pushes her whole left hand inside with a silent gasp.
She approaches the mirror until her nose touches the surface and watches all the bits, pores and details of her face. She pulls her cheeks, lips and nose to left and right and she laughs. Then she paints them all black. The black liquid slides from her chin to her neck and reaches it’s source.
She raises her hand towards the mirror. She writes a song of madness with the ink of her own destruction.
